Jesus promised.
{John 8:36} “So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.”
Christ gave us true freedom—the kind civil law cannot grant, and no political or religious system can revoke. The freedom of the Kingdom is deeper than political liberty. It is freedom from sin, shame, and fear—and into covenant identity, kingly authority, and eternal life. This is the freedom the ekklesia lives out and proclaims as a kingdom reality. Christ our King came to save, to heal, and to restore. His mission was to break chains and to empower His people to walk in righteousness, peace, and purpose.
I. FREEDOM IS A KINGDOM ASSIGNMENT
The freedom of the kingdom begins with the King Himself. Jesus rules in justice and truth, and His reign brings liberty to all who follow Him.
{Galatians 5:1} ... “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
In the kingdom, freedom isn’t the absence of boundaries; it’s the presence of divine order and grace. Kingdom freedom empowers us to fulfill our destiny in Christ and to live in alignment with His righteousness. The Spirit gives us power to choose what is holy, to walk in obedience, and to stand in the face of spiritual oppression.
II. COVENANT FREEDOM TRANSFORMS IDENTITY
In Christ, we are born again into covenant, not simply rescued from sin, but restored into sonship.
{2 Corinthians 3:17} ... “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Freedom in covenant makes us whole. It establishes us as citizens of heaven, part of a redeemed family, and stewards of God's presence on earth. We are carriers of the King's grace, walking in righteousness and led by the Spirit. Freedom isn’t just a gift—it is our new identity in Christ.
III. THE EKKLESIA CARRIES THE FREEDOM MANDATE
Jesus established the ekklesia to live out His victory and demonstrate His kingdom on earth.
{Matthew 16:18} ... “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My ekklesia; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.”
The ekklesia carries the truth of the gospel and the authority of the King.
{John 8:32} ... “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
We break the power of lies, confront injustice, and bring deliverance to the oppressed. The covenant people of God aren’t spectators—we are builders, healers, and restorers. We are ambassadors of heaven who walk in spiritual authority and govern through love, prayer, and prophetic obedience.
IV. THE 4TH OF JULY AND THE KINGDOM CALL
On this national holiday, many celebrate the birth of a nation. For the ekklesia of America, it serves as a reminder of a greater liberty—the one given by the resurrected King. The kingdom calls the ekklesia to rise in boldness because we live under a higher government, ruled by the Lord of Lords, whose throne is unshakable and whose laws are written on our hearts. We walk in supernatural freedom as a sign of the new creation. We celebrate this day with gratitude, but let us also respond to the greater apostolic call to carry freedom wherever God sends us.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: We walk in the liberty Christ secured for us because we are sons and daughters of covenant, raised up to rule with Him. We proclaim the good news of the Kingdom with confidence and boldness. Every place our feet touch becomes ground for restoration. We declare healing over the broken, sight for the blind, and joy for the weary. We are the ekklesia—liberated by love, empowered by the Spirit, and sent by the King. We step into this day, as we do every day, as citizens of heaven with eternal freedom.
